Director of the Coupon Information Center, Bud has worked on numerous industry initiatives and has managed CIC operations since it began operations in 1986. The CIC is the coupon industry's only watchdog group and has been involved in every significant coupon fraud case since its inception. Bud has played a central role in the design, implementation and evolution of all CIC activities, programs and data systems. Prior to his current position, Bud was a Staff Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives. He is a Member of the national Economic Crime Council, a past Chairman for the 1,450+ Members of The National Capital Chapter of The American Society for Industrial Security International; recipient of the 2003 IMAN Outstanding Alumni Award. Miller also is a member of Federal Security Systems, Inc's Board of Directors. Bud has a MA in International Commerce from the University of Maryland and a BA in International & Public Affairs from The George Washington University.
Nick specializes in helping organizations defend against insider threats. He presently directs security for a critical infrastructure in California. He managed security operations for Control Risks and Kroll, and led vulnerability assessment teams for ManTech Security Technologies. Decorated with the Meritorious Service Medal as an outstanding intelligence collector, Nick later safeguarded stealth technology in the defense industry. He recently contributed to international guidelines on facility/physical security and on workplace violence. He has managed corporate response to hostage situations and death threats. He now focuses on preventing catastrophic losses.
With over 27 years of auditing, financial, and promotion experience within the packaged goods and banking industry, Bob has extensive knowledge implementing cost reduction analysis programs; re-engineering processes; training; auditing; customer relations; retailer negotiations; customizing loss prevention and fraud control programs relating to coupons and rebates; management of a multi-dimensional database marketing system and exceptional organizational skills.
As an IRS Special Agent Paul Deery successfully investigated more than 90 coupon fraud cases and eliminated more than $70 million in fraud in the Philadelphia area alone. A recipient of The Albert Gallatin Award, which is the Internal Revenue Service's highest career service award and numerous private industry awards, Paul's record of excellence and professionalism is unparalleled. In addition to his success in fighting coupon fraud, Paul has extensive experience in combating political and union corruption. Paul's unique combination of street smarts and diplomacy is an asset to any organization facing sensitive issues.
A true industry pioneer with more than 30 years experience working for a major manufacturer in loss prevention, client relations, coupon controls and processing. A Past President of the CIC, ACP Board Member and Advisory Group Member for Manufacturers' Agents, Carol is one of only two individuals who has been awarded both the CIC Silver Medallion and the Association of Coupon Professional's (ACP) William Cargill Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ken is an FBI veteran with more than 24 years of criminal
investigative experience and a winner of the CIC Bronze Medallion. Ken was one of the principles of an undercover team that eliminated more than $40 million in Chicago Area Coupon Fraud. Ken has been a Member of the American Institute of CPAs since 1976 and will meet your needs in forensic accounting, auditing, loss prevention, coupon fraud and economic crimes research.
